Guide and Service Dogs
We support several guide dogs by donating our veterinary products to their puppies and dogs in training who require specialized diets. We believe that our products help fuel the work days of these dogs, so they can provide comfort and independence to Canadians coping with visual or hearing impairments, seizure response, autism assistance and diabetic alert. We know and value the importance of these dogs in the lives of those who need them.
Donation Programs
Our commitment to making complete, balanced, and high-quality pet care products help support pets, people and communities in need. We actively work with many rescues and shelters to provide food the animals in their care. We provide monetary donations to shelters, rescue groups and animal welfare focused organizations, funding their community events and day-to-day costs like veterinary care and rehabilitation costs.
As you may imagine, we receive numerous requests for sponsorships and charitable donations—more than we are currently able to support. Veterinary Colleges
We take great pride in our commitment to fostering the growth of future veterinary professionals. Through numerous partnerships, we actively support education and animal care in collaboration with veterinary schools and Veterinary Technician programs across Canada.
The United Way
Nestlé Purina PetCare Canada has been a long-standing supporter of the United Way, and is proud of the success we have had in raising funds for them. We believe in supporting our communities and the people (and pets) who live in them. Our commitment has been steadfast over the last two decades, with a combined effort through employee donations and corporate gifts.
Purina Animal Hall of Fame
At Purina, we understand that pets and people have a special connection—and this unique bond is celebrated through the Purina Animal Hall of Fame. The Purina Animal Hall of Fame is the longest-running Canadian pet recognition program of its kind.
