Pebbles

Pebbles, a one-year-old Samoyed/Labrador mix alerted owners Lori and Darren Holloway when their eight-year-old sleepwalking daughter let herself out of the house in -16 degree C weather last January. Prone to frequent bouts of sleepwalking,Sabrina Holloway usually went to her parents' bedroom before being escorted back to bed. After 11:00 a.m. on the night in question, Sabrina walked right out the kitchen door wearing only her nightgown and a pair of boots. Luckily, Pebbles, who was a new pet and only five months old at the time, began howling in an attempt to wake up Lori and Darren. Darren finally got up to let Pebbles out, when he saw shadows on the porch and realized that Sabrina was standing outside of their Lethbridge, Newfoundland home. Pebbles saved Sabrina from serious harm by waking her parents.
